Oh Thou Blog, Now Long Neglected
A poem for my long-neglected blog…
Oh thou blog, now long neglected, did I not tell how summer would be?
Did I not speak of travel and absence, did I not have thy blessing to leave?
Did I forget to tell of Haiti and the week that I would spend there,
If I had told you of my absence, I think for sure you wouldn’t care.
Did I forget to speak of VBS, a week of fun with great kids,
No, I am sure I spoke to you of it, I’m sure I most certainly did.
Did I forget to tell of REACH Camp, 11 hours of driving ahead,
With students in tow, I was certain you’d know I would be feeling quite dead.
But when I return from a summer away, I promise you’ll get more of me,
To converse and think and share in my life, what a great time that will be.
